Pelosi Drops #MeToo Rhetoric Due To Political ‘Inconvenience’

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has repeated in recent days that she has “zero tolerance” for sexual misconduct, however, she notably did not call on NY Governor Andrew Cuomo to resign.

Both Democratic Senators from Cuomo’s state of New York, (Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand), joined in with other lawmakers who are demanding that Cuomo resign in light of accusations of inappropriate touching and sexual harassment.

When pressed for comment on Cuomo’s sexual misconduct, Pelosi said that, “the governor should look inside his heart.”

Almost 90 percent of New York’s congressional delegation called on the governor to resign, as well as 80 percent of the state senators. Last week, the state Assembly began taking steps that could lead to Cuomo’s impeachment over both sexual misconduct and his mishandling of coronavirus in nursing homes.
