Recent reports coming out of the Houston, Texas Health Department have revealed that over 140 fully vaccinated people have tested positive for COVID-19. All individuals got infected after more than two weeks after receiving the vaccine.
Health experts claim that this shouldn’t come as a surprise, because the vaccine isn’t 100 percent effective.
Dr. Wesley Long of Houston Methodist Hospital explains that “everybody’s immune system is different,” and that there will always be rare cases of people who become infected despite having been vaccinated. He also said that vaccinated individuals who still contract the disease will have symptoms which are “incredibly mild” when compared to the unvaccinated.
Multiple states across the nation have issued reports of vaccinated individuals falling sick with COVID-19.
