A top Hamas commander was recently killed by the Israeli Defense Force in a strike against the terrorist group.
The IDF announced on Tuesday that they successfully killed Iyad Fathi Faik Sharir, a commander who was charged with firing anti-tank missiles at Israel. They also announced that their air force was still striking terrorist targets in Gaza.
We just killed the commander of the Hamas anti-tank missile unit, Iyad Fathi Faik Sharir. He was in charge of carrying out anti-tank missile attacks on Israel.
Our aircraft are currently striking additional terror targets in Gaza.

Israel continues to launch a counter attack in response to Hamas firing hundreds of rockets against Israel’s urban zones and capital. The exchange began on Monday, with the IDF destroying multiple Palestinian terrorist targets throughout Tuesday. The IDF have reportedly taken out over 130 Hamas military installations, including both weapon manufacturing sites and intelligence bases.
Hamas also lost two tunnels which they had installed next to the security fence. IDF tries their best not to harm civilian targets, a difficult task since Hamas deliberately places their military installations in densely urbanized zones in order to make precision strikes more difficult.
Israel’s anti-missile system, the Iron Dome, was able to destroy most incoming missiles in the air, but some still got through. Those rockets destroyed a school, killing some children within it.
In the United States, Democrats such as Representative Ilhan Omar (D-MN) criticized the counter-attack, calling Israel a terrorist state.
Israeli air strikes killing civilians in Gaza is an act of terrorism.
Palestinians deserve protection.
Unlike Israel, missile defense programs, such as Iron Dome, don’t exist to protect Palestinian civilians.
It’s unconscionable to not condemn these attacks on the week of Eid. https://t.co/vWWQfMqBkT
