A Democrat-led House panel moved slavery reparation proposals forward on Wednesday, bringing an unimaginably expensive concept one step closer to reality.
The commission is intended to decide on how much wealth, and in what form, black American should be compensated for slavery that occurred over a century-and-a-half ago.
The House Judiciary Committee advanced the proposal in a 25-17 vote, with the bill now moving on to the House for a full vote. If the bill clears the House, the Democrat controlled Senate can ram through any bill they please with their majority vote tie-breaker-in-a-pocket Vice President Kamala Harris.
Bill H.R. 40 makes projections estimating that $12 million will have to be spent on just the commissions work alone, with estimates of the cost of reparations reaching an estimated $12 trillion, that’s trillion spelt with a “T.”
Representative Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) called the bill a “path to restorative justice,” and said that it is a crucial step to “bridge racial divides” after the “original sin” of slavery, what she calls “America’s sin.”
However, House Republicans disagree. Representative Steve Chabot (R-OH) says that it’s wrong to take from people who never owned slaves in order to compensate others who were never enslaved.
Makes sense. Cause descendants of immigrants who weren’t even here should pay reparations, right? No. They shouldn’t. This is a very bad idea. https://t.co/DO3x8tq7Nd

Democrats insist however that reparations are necessary and that anyone opposing them is a racist.
It seems that what Democrats actually want is political bribery.
