How strange how quickly things turn in just half a year.
This past summer, Democrats openly ranted about Trump offering to send in the National Guard to help embattled cities fight against violent thugs. For instance, the pompous governor of Illinois, who likely enjoys a life cloaked in security, primly commented upon Trump’s supposed infringement of state rights.
“I reject the notion that the federal government can send troops into the state of Illinois.” [Source: U.S. News]
Well, while leftist governors apparently “reject the notion” of protecting their own citizens, they, along with every other leftist, are apparently just fine with the federal government fully exploiting the National Guard now.
The difference this time, however, is that the necessity of the National Guard’s continued, effectively militarized presence in D.C. is apparently based on … nothing.
Robert G. Salesses, an “Assistant Secretary of Defense for Homeland Defense and Global Security,” has claimed that the National Guard will remain stationed in D.C. through at least Fall 2021.
The reason? Not provided.
“If it’s not possible to sustain at the current level with [National Guard] personnel, we need to establish the number of [National Guard] personnel (DCNG and out-of-state) we can sustain for an extended period – at least through Fall 2021 – and understand additional options for providing [Department of Defense] support, to include use of reserve personnel, as well as active component.”

Exactly why does such a high level of National Guard need to be sustained for so long in D.C.?
Furthermore, exactly how on earth is this absence of an explanation even remotely comparable with any form of “transparency” claimed by the Biden administration?
After all, if Biden is so insanely popular that he managed to “beat” the ultra-celebrity Obama by several million votes, one does wonder why such a popular administration needs dictatorship-style protection.
After all, more than one GOP representative is wondering the exact same thing, such as Rep. Michael Waltz of Florida.
“We still have National Guardsmen out there, away from their families, away from their jobs, supplementing the police … And yet we can’t get a briefing on what is this dire threat that requires so many people. We still don’t have answers.” [Source: The Blaze]
Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas also echoed Waltz’s thoughts, remarking that he also has no idea why so many National Guard members remain present, and he has an actual seat with the Intelligence Committee.
“I sit on the Intelligence Committee, but I’m aware of no specific, credible threat reporting — as distinguished from aspirational, uncoordinated bluster on the internet — that justifies this continued troop presence … Thus, I believe the rest of these soldiers should also go home to their families and civilian jobs.”

Well, that’s frightening.
And, while the Senator makes a good point, the reality is the Democrats no longer need a “specific, credible threat” for anything. After all, they didn’t even need credibility for TWO impeachment “trials,” and if they don’t need credibility for that, then they don’t need credibility for anything.
Or, perhaps the real reason is the Democrats’ ultimate long game: abolition of states’ autonomy, which would be an admittedly effective way to assume control … forever.
Ironically, the same Department of “Homeland Security” that is presumably committed to “sustaining” rather immense National Guard resources is also allowing tens of thousands of illegal migrants to begin passing through the U.S., with nary a COVID test in sight. Or, if the “migrants” are being tested for COVID, the DHS is curiously tight-lipped about it.
Who knows, perhaps they’re already aware of another “variant” roaring its way to American shores … or across American land borders.
Whatever it takes to usher in a full-blown, leftist autocracy. Or attempts to usher one in, anyway.
Historically speaking, the ongoing assault on America was predicted decades ago by another President who clearly placed America first.
Ronald Reagan, another phenomenal American president, made a chilling prediction about potential American fascism all the way back in a “60 Minutes” interview from 1975.
Apparently, “60 Minutes” once had a semblance of a conscience, certainly when compared with its shameful behavior with Trump in 2020.
However, no matter what the now ultra-left show does now, it cannot (yet) erase what Reagan said.
“If fascism ever comes to America, it will come in the name of liberalism.” [Source: AIE]
And even if the record of the Reagan’s statement is somehow wiped, likely through AOC’s proposed 1984-style “Truth Commission,” no amount of digital scrubbing will erase the truth …
