Republican Senator Ted Cruz of Texas introduced new legislation on Tuesday to relocate illegal immigrant processing centers to liberal parts of the country such as Martha’s Vineyard amid the ongoing and terrible border crisis of the Democrats’ making.
Cruz slammed the Biden administration for failing to protect citizens along the southern border; instead, exposing them without concern to the dangers of criminal cartels for the last ten months. He underscored how communities such as Del Rio and McAllen are quickly running out of resources for handling the massive influx of illegal immigration. These statements were made just prior to his introduction of the proposed legislation.
Cruz went on to spell out a summary of his legislation which he called “crucial,” that aims to “alleviate the… overload at the southern border” by putting immigration facilities in Democrats backyards. Cruz called out ideal locations as being North Hero, Vermont, which is Senator Bernie Sanders favorite hangout spot, or Martha’s Vineyard, a hotspot for Democrat elites to host cocktail parties.
The legislation, if passed, would establish 13 new ports of entry within U.S. communities and require that illegal immigrants caught by Border Patrol in Texas would be transferred to one of the 13 ports.

- Martha’s Vineyard, MA
- Cambridge, MA
- Governors Island, NY
- Rehoboth Beach, DE
- Nantucket, MA
- Newport, RI

In a press release, Cruz wrote about the difficulty that Border Patrol faces in Texas everyday, being “overwhelmed by the volume” of people flooding across the border. He explained that as a consequence of the Biden administration’s immigration policies, that the Texas government was forced to declare a state of disaster. Furthermore, according to his statement, the Texas government was forced to seek additional fiscal resources to direct to law enforcement in order to address the crisis.
Cruz personally visited the border in March and reported that he witnessed cartel members and human traffickers.
The U.S.-Mexico border has seen over 200,000 attempted crossings every month throughout the summer with no signs of slowing down as the Biden administration continues with its policy of no enforcement.
