Bill De Blasio, the Mayor of New York City, recently demonstrated total honesty on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” in an interview with Mika Brzezinski on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” on Thursday.
Clearly angered by Andrew Cuomo, the Governor of New York, and his continued obscurement of the nursing home fatalities related to COVID, De Blasio commented that the behavior was “classic” and “nothing new” for the Cuomo administration, noting that many people across New York have receiving “bullying” phone calls.

One of the latest targets of the bullying is Democracy Assemblyman Ron Kim, who has called for an investigation into the nursing home fatalities. Kim himself lost a family member in a nursing home. However, rather that work alongside Kim, Cuomo and Rich Azzopardi, his senior advisor, claimed that Kim was engaging in deliberate deception of New Yorkers and creating a “hostile” attitude towards the Cuomo administration.
In addition, Cuomo and Azzopardi also accused Kim of engaging in “pay for play schemes” through acceptance of donations from nail salons. Unfortunately, the Cuomo administration engages in “belittling” very frequently.
For instance, Cuomo recently threatened hospitals that did not use the COVID vaccines, leading a de Blasio spokesperson to remark that “threatening to revoke the privilege of vaccination from the city’s public hospital system is punitive and unnecessary.”
Cuomo is currently under investigation from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in New York’s Eastern District for his handling of the COVID pandemic.
